Jachet and Mojse married in Lodz in 1869. Ruchel Laia and her family moved to Leeds via Darmstadt c.1910.

Elka and her family moved to Lille in the early 1920s but she, her husband and two of their children were deported to Auschwitz in 1942. The fates of Chana and Sara are unknown.

Josif and Malka Ruchel married in Lodz in 1897, and came to Leeds shortly before this photo was taken, as these three children were all born in either Lodz or in Russia. Reuben went on to be a very well-respected psychiatrist in Liverpool. Annie married her first cousin, Jules Brightbart.

Mordka and Ruchel Laia married in Lodz in 1901. Mordka was part of the famous family of Brajtbart (or Breitbart) strongmen from Strykow. These included the strongest man in the world, Zishe Breitbart, and his son Joseph, an Olympic champion.
