Perla had Sora Rifka and Yitzchak Moshe by her first
marriage, to Mejer Gersz Kowalski. When he died, she
							remarried Abram Mejer Marnowicz (formerly
Mejranowski), who was substantially older than her.
Celia, Mildred and Dorothy were born
from this second marriage. Sora Rifka and Yitzchak
Moshe changed their surname to Marnowicz
							on
their mother's remarriage, and were known as Marno
after the family emigrated to Chicago in 1904.
